Positive Thinking

Focus on your strengths and achievements. Whilst failure is a good learning opportunity, do not dwell on it excessively. Rather, when faced with a challenge remind yourself of your past successes and accomplishments.

Reframing Challenges

There’s almost always a silver lining. Whatever it is you’re facing, what are the positives you can take away from it? A common exercise here is to look at a problem, strip away all the negatives, and look at what’s left. Focus on that rather than the negatives when considering how to approach it.

Mindfulness and Meditation

Mindfulness techniques can be brilliant for reducing anxiety around issues you’re having. Utilising them well can form part of your toolkit for improving confidence and resilience. When you’re feeling stressed or overwhelmed, turn to them as a way to stay grounded.

Gratitude Practice

Keeping a gratitude journal will help you to focus on the positive aspects of life. Something as simple as writing down five things you’re grateful for per day can change the way you view life. These don’t need to be big things! They can be as simple as having enjoyed cooking that day, sitting in the sun, or talking to a good friend.
